FM6 Email using OS 10.4.x

Hi Guys,

Ive got a client who is using Mac OS 10.4.x and is also using a FileMaker database I created a while ago in version 6.

Everything in the database seems to work as it should apart from the emailing feature, which is the basic Send Mail command in scriptmaker. This command just doesn't seem to get executed - my client is using the Enterouge which I presume makes it a little more difficult?

Anyone advise me whether emailing is a problem in FM6 & 10.6 or is it a case of selecting the right default emailing client (something Im not sure of doing in 10.4)

Any advice would be much appreciated!

The default e-mail preferences are in the Mail application

Mail > Preferences > General

I presume your client is not using Mail so they will have to go through the Mail setup (use dummy data if required) so they can get to the preferences in Mail.
