Picture import

Ok i have a field called country which uses a value list. Next to it i have a container field called flag, on my computer i also have a folder with flags that correspond to the values in the value list. Is there anyway to import the correct flag from this folder when the relevant country is picked from the country field; without using numerous If statements.
