Jason Goldsmith Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 I am trying to insert an audio track into a container field. Everytime I select the field and go to "Insert Sound" from the Insert menu, Filemaker Pro Advanced v8.0v2 crashes. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Genx Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 (edited) a) Try Scripting It Try deleting the container and replacing it with the same container field again c) Try putting a different actual container field on the layout and inserting into this d) Try Updating e) Try running file maintenance f) Make a copy and try recover the file Edited May 13, 2006 by Guest Added a few choices
Jason Goldsmith Posted May 13, 2006 Author Posted May 13, 2006 Is it possible to script insert sound?
Genx Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 (edited) Select / Perform should do it(if you're wanting to record to it) otherwise insert quicktime? EDIT: Sorry, thats Go to field [select / Perform] Edited May 13, 2006 by Guest
Jason Goldsmith Posted May 13, 2006 Author Posted May 13, 2006 Tried everything except file maintenence. That must be on the FM disk which I have at my work office. Strange that it crashes on this machine only. I put the same file on my laptop and the "insert sound" command works fine.
Genx Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 ... well saying that earlier might have helped. Try applying the most recent updates to your os instead.
IdealData Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Have you got the 8.03 updater yet? See the FM website for a download.
