Solution License

Anyone have a good template for a License agreement for my solution? I am based in London and New York.

Solution is licenced on a user basis not system basis.

Hi Stuart,

This is an actual license of software done for a third party. The Software itself is available with a limited data set for the purchaser to try out and satisfy themselves as to it's fitness prior to purchasing the complete package. The license covers both my company and the client. The goal of the license is to both protect through copyright and to limit liability at the same time.

When opening the program, the person must accept the license priot to being able to use the program either in trial or full.

There is a license screen so that the license is available to be printed by the user at any time but cannot be alatered by the user.

This should give you a start on the type of things you will have to consider.

8. The Data residing in this program are Copyright XXXX and it is expressly forbidden that they be compiled into derivative works.

9. The Computer Program is developed by LICHEN Software and is made available to XXXX through an exclusive license from LICHEN Software. LICHEN Software retains the right to use similar code in other projects. LICHEN Software bears no liability in any form for this program or any losses arising from the use of this program.
