FileMaker Advanced makes standalone programs that does not need FileMaker, but does the PC version only make PC programs and the Mac version make programs that wil run an a Mac (PPC)?

If you want a runtime version (does not require FMP to work) of your application to work on a PC, it has to be generated from FMP Advance on a PC and likewise for a Mac. If you are creating an application that requires FMP it will work on either platform.

The same was true for FileMaker Developer 7... Runtime versions still need to be made on a computer that is of the same platform. The FMP Advance CD will load on either MAC or PC.

Are you saying that if we buy FMP Advanced, we can load it on a PC and a Mac i.e. it has both versions on the disc?
