Printing Error out of Memory

Featured Replies

I am using FM 7 and trying to print labels. 900 labels, layout is Avery 5160. when I print the computer will display error out of memory. The Printer HP 4000 displays an out of memory error then it dumps the job. I am using times font. I have no clue.

Thanks in advance.

Try changing the font to see if it works. Also, make sure you are running the latest version of 7 which is 7.0v3. You can download the updater for free from the filemaker.com web site.

Yes i tried helvetica, Arial, Times, Palatino. Not sure what to do next.

Thanks

At 30 pages, perhaps the printer is indeed out of memory?

The LaserJet 4000 ships with 4MB of standard memory and has a maximum capacity of 100MB.

You could upgrade the memory, or script the print into batches. Do you have anything but text on the label layout (Select all to make sure there are no hidden objects as well)?

when I got the out of memory error, that was the first thing I did I upgraded the computer and the printer. I upgraded the printer to 512 mg. and the computer to 2gig, It seems that filemaker knows of the bug because I have read a lot about it most of the solutions are just to change the font. I am not sure how to set up a batch to print with filemaker, so I guess that is the next step unless someone has a solution.

thanks in advance javascript:void(0)
