April 23, 200124 yr Newbies Heres what i want to do.. I want to create user names and passwords so that in order to access the database you need to enter any one of the user ames with their *assigned password. (one password per username--so that no one can log in under a diferent user name only their own) what i want is for filemaker to recognize who is the person modifying the database (with the username) so that it can auto-enter the modifiers name or creators name in a field (which is hidden and not modifiable (how do i create these fields?)). (why?) we run a sales company and we dont want any sales to be stolen from other salespersons (and if they do, we can find out) note- when you log in you can modify any records no matter who created them how can i do this, or can you point me to the right direction (thanks)
April 25, 200124 yr If you are running FMPro server and client surely everyone has to log-on to gain acces to the network? you can then have creator and modifier auto enter fields in the database which will enter the network username of the person? am I missing your point?
