Hi

I want to use a text block as a dynamic label. For example the contents of the text block could be 

This is a <>

The problem is that the text block auto expands to fit the contents of what you type in, however the labels are short and so the text block is always too big on the layout - you make it the correct width and it gets deeper, or adjust the depth and it grows in length.

Is there something simple I'm missing to force the size of the text block, or do I have to work around this by making a block with no background colour & using a filled rectangle behind it to get the background I want - (seems cludgey!).

Neat, thanks for pointing that out comment. I thought it was just one of things we had to live with... this'll definitley make reporting easier.
