Having Web Browser open

Featured Replies

I have not seen this question posted before, but if it was I apologize.

How safe is it to have a web browser open while working in the FM databasse?

We have an internal FM server with sensitive data, and I am not sure if browser provides a potential portal into my database from outside.

Thanks in advance

The only possible issue would be if you had a web-enabled database (via WebCompanion) and are connected to the internet. The Web Browser software is not capable making you DBs accessable, nor does it really have any impact at all in this situation.

Thanks CaptKurt, just checking. I wouldn't want anyone to be sniffing out my stuff through an open browser.
