Jess Girard Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 (edited) I've been trying to use "Find/Replace" to find records in which one field is entirely empty and put "No" in that field in those records satisfying the criterion. What is the parameter I want to "find" ? Please keep in mind this is the functionality accessed by "Edit > Find/Replace > Find/Replace" not a simple Find. This might fall under "Stupid Newbie Questions" but I can't seem to do it, and although I'm occasionally accused of stupidity I'm not a newbie to FMP8. The FMP8 Advanced help menu isn't really helpful. Jess Edited June 21, 2006 by Guest
comment Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 I don't think you can use Find/Replace to replace nothing with something. You need to actually find the records with the empty field, then use Replace Field Contents.
Jess Girard Posted June 22, 2006 Author Posted June 22, 2006 Okay, I used the Replace Field function and all is well. Thanks very much for your assistance! Jess
