Featured Replies

Here I have a drop down menu container field solution for labeling purposes! The problem i have is when I click the menu and select the color it stays on text until I click off the menu, then it will reveal the color container! Please see file!

about ?

Ohh...

I see... the file still didn't work !

There must be some type of corruption inside.

I'll rebuilt it from scratch

OK

This one works with FM7 Dev, but sometimes crash with FM8v1

This technique works in Windows only.

Nice Thanks, that helps, but is there no way to hide the text until the popup shows?

TMAS

Yes, while in layout mode, SEND TO BACK the field "Color_Choose"

Never mind this works great! Does that only work with double click?

Thanks for your help!

Works on mac too, had to dalay to 1 sec not .5 if you are a slow clicker like me!

Thanks

I don't know why you have to double-click !

Under Windows platform, only one click is needed.

So I guess a Mac issue! Any work arounds on a solution like this?

TMAS

On a Mac, Go to Field will pop a list, but not a menu. That's why you have to click twice: the first click runs the script and selects the field. The second click pops the menu. Set the pause to 5 seconds to see what really happens.

Another way is to use the EventScript plugin.

After installed, try this one.

Sorry never mind! I found the plug, will it work with runtime?

Yes, you just have to imitate filemaker folder structure... that is, put an Extensions folder into your runtime solution (i don't know mac equiv) and then put the plugin in there.
