June 25, 200619 yr I'm using the go to portal row script step, but need to define the active portal. At present, the script goes to the wrong portal. Thanks
June 25, 200619 yr Author OK, I think I figured this out. I have multiple portals based on the same relationship, each in different tab panels on the same layout. The script needs to go to a particular portal (one that is not located in the first tab panel). Initially, the script had a go to field step that went to the field of interest in the portal of interest. But that field (and all other fields in my portal of interest) are also in another portal located in the first tab panel. So I kept going to the portal in the first tab panel. The solution I found was to create a unique field and place it in my portal of interest. I then reduced its size to 1 X 1 pixels and hid it in this portal. Now the first script step is to go that field, which defines that portal as the active portal. Edited June 25, 200619 yr by Guest
June 25, 200619 yr Hi ! There is no direct command on this , but a workaround is to have a specific field on each portal which is only present on a that single portal. Than before You go to portal row go to that field first which gets You in the desired portal. Actually the same trick You use with TAB’s Edited June 25, 200619 yr by Guest Well I should learn to type a little faster ! ;-)
June 25, 200619 yr Just as a general note, a you might try basing the portal on a different table occurance, i don't know why you have two in the first place on the same layout.. b as far as i remember the portal that is active in this situation is based on the order of the portals in the layout, i think it defaults to the one on top or bottom... i forget, but the point stands.
