Sean O'Donoghue
Greetings Is there a way to disable the "Delete All Records" command which is on the Records drop-down box in FMaker Pro 5.5 - the way it is, it is too easy to just press the wrong button & have all the records deleted. Many thanks in anticipation Sean o'Donoghue London
DykstrL
If you put a password on the file, as part of the password dialog box, you can set the available menu commands to "None" - then none of the menus are available nor are the shortcuts. Unfortunately, it is a all-or-nothing proposition. If you do it, you must provide scripts/buttons to do whatever the user needs to do, like new record, delete record, find, sort, print, etc.
Sean O'Donoghue
Thanks for response - it is very remiss of Filemaker to leave that command line there where it can be easily hit in error. I think the solution is to put link buttons to all the other commands in that drop box onto the top of record to save having to open it at all.
