Hello there,

I was wondering if there is a way to allow a user permission to create new records, copy existing ones (through a button) and write to them, but then when a script is run (through a button) the record becomes locked to the user.

I'm doing this with some products that go through multiple revisions, yet I want to electronically store each revision and make them unchangeable. The button script 'Revise' increments the revision number, assigns the users name and changes the revision date. This is the script that I want to lock the revision in (if it's possible through scripting).

Thanks everybody,

M
