apple mail or other mail program?

Does any one have experience with Apple Mail & file maker?

i have set my database to send a message when the date meets certain conditions set out by some data. My only problem is that the send mail script creates a new message but doesnt send the message.

maybe I should be asking this to an apple forum

or

is there another program that would be more useful? Entourage?

There is a behaviour difference between Mail and Entourage - exactly as you describe.

Entourage does it perfectly, but you'll need to change this to be your default e-mail application - preversely you'll find this in Apple Mail preferences!

I use the Apple Email Client to send email all the time and it sends it immediately. Could it be you haven't clicked the "Perform without dialog" option on the Send Mail script step?
