Silvertop Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 This is driving me loopy, but I am out of ideas. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. I have a layout which produces a report as follows... reference Figure b21 55 b32 275 b33 11 b44 19 b51 115 b59 88 ...and then the following b65 68 b65 1 b76 144 It appears that I need to "clean" the 'reference' field, but how? Any help appreciated. John
Silvertop Posted July 25, 2006 Author Posted July 25, 2006 Taking the above example... [color:blue]b59 88 ...and then the following b65 68 b65 1 b76 144 what I want/expected was... b59 88 b65 69 b76 144
Ender Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 On the last b65 record, check if there's a space or something in the Reference field. This would cause it to break separately in the Sub-Summary by Reference part.
Silvertop Posted July 25, 2006 Author Posted July 25, 2006 Well, I even tried replacing *b65* with b65 in the 'reference' field which should have cleared out any/all extra chars. ? but no joy John
Silvertop Posted July 25, 2006 Author Posted July 25, 2006 Solved It and appear to have found a weakness in FM ? I looked very carefully at the field with 'b65' and nothing appeared incorrect. As I stated in the previous post, FM failed to find anything either. I desperation, I exported to .csv and looked in Excel and Eureka! The attached screen grab shows the little barsteward. Ender, thanks for your input, appreciated. John B65.BMP
