myFMbutler releases PrinterSwitch 1.5

AALTER, Belgium -- August 9, 2006 -- myFMbutler today announces the release and immediate availability of PrinterSwitch 1.5, a major update to the plug-in for Windows and Macintosh that allows you to easily control printer switching from within your FileMaker solutions.

About PrinterSwitch

myFMbutler's PrinterSwitch is a plug-in for FileMaker Pro 7, 8 & 8.5 for both Windows and Macintosh that allows you to easily control printer switching from within your FileMaker solutions.

Moreover, PrinterSwitch also allows automatic PDF creation from within FileMaker without the need for a 3rd party PDF printer driver. The name and destination of the PDF can both be set from within your solution. Unlike the built-in PDF functionality of FileMaker 8, PrinterSwitch PDF's can also be created in runtime solutions.

What's new in version 1.5

• Added full support for FileMaker 8.5 (universal binary on MacOS X) - still compatible with both FileMaker 7 & 8.

• Added new functions to capture and restore print settings on Windows. The new PrinterSwitch functions allow you to capture and restore page orientation, paper size, paper source, as well as custom printer settings.

• Revamped example files and added a new Capture-Restore Settings Example (Windows)

• A free upgrade for registered users

Pricing and availability

PrinterSwitch 1.5 is available today for a price of EUR 59,- or USD 74,- for a single user license.

Multi-user and developer licenses are also available.
