Hi, Im extremly new to filemaker and have the folowing question:

Can I make layout that will format my input?

for example I enter "abc" and after moving to another field it will be showed/saved as "ABC"

(making all the letters upper)

same idea - can I enter a phone number 2121119483

and after moving to another field it will format it to (212)111-9483

This topic has come of several times in the past, just do an Advance Search using [color:blue]+Phone +Number +Format as the keywords, be sure to include the pluses as shown.

Your example is pretty short. I'm not sure if you are wanting to have everything Upper Case, or just part of it? (i.e. ABC Distributing, or ABC DISTRIBUTING). If it is the later, then just format the field as Upper Case. You can also use the Auto Enter, and UPPER Function, with the do not Replace existing values, if any. If it is the First example, then you are going to have to let us know.
