whenever I use a certain script to import files, the file browser (on windows at least) always defaults to files of type csv or txt. Is there a way to change this behaviour somehow?

A true default would be "All Available". Once you do an import, I believe that FileMaker will retain the last import format as the default.

If you script this, then you can choose the file and file type in the Script.

What File Type shows now? You can select a file Type.
