Filemaker to address book sync

Hey people! I'll trade my kingdom (such as it is) for an easy-to-use Filemaker Pro 8.0/8.5 to address book sync. I'm using OS 10.4.6. I've searched the forum without any satisfying results. I can't be the only one that needs this handy feature/utility. Somebody out there ought to be able to come up with this handy utility. All you developers that just finished your big conference get to work on this simple yet important item, please.

Before someone recommends Address Exchange, allow me to say that that software hasn't been updated to be compatible with Tiger. Address Book Importer is only a partial solution and leaves me unsatisfied. So...there's opportunity here for an enterprising developer and for Filemaker to make this a built-in feature in their next upgrade. This seems to be a feature that the customers are clamoring for. I'd even pay real money for a good solution.

For the opposite direction!

Nice try, but the FM2AB doesn't work. I didn't try the AB2FM version because that's not the direction I need to go.

Once again, all you crafty, intelligent, talented Filemaker developers out there, how about putting your skills to work on something useful, please.

Maybe it's not useful to us! Perhaps you can develop this yourself, and sell it to the clamoring masses.

Ahhh, if only I had the talent, the skill, and the time. I guess I'm to assume that those that do have the talent, skill, and time aren't interested. 'Tis a shame. I'd pay for such an application.

Thanks. This is getting closer to what I need, but....

The price is $59.95 which is no problem. I'd be willing to pay that in a heartbeat, but I downloaded the demo and it's only opening FM 6 and 7 even though it says it will work with FM 8. So far I haven't been able to get it to work with any FM version. Of course that might have something to do with the gawd awful instructions which must have been written by a PC techie on caffine. They are nearly unintelligible.

The must be something simple out there that is easy to use like Address Exchange was before it became obsolete.

Alas (sigh)

You will need to take up those issues with the manufacturer. Other than that, you could roll your own AppleScript. I am sure that if you search here for address +book (or as one word?), with Fenton as the author, you'll find something to make a good start.
