How on earth does one use printer fonts in filemaker? they dont appear in the font menu!?

Is there a plugin for this?

In version 7 and later, FileMaker actually wants the fonts installed in the operation system. Go to the Application Folder, and then open Font Book and see if the Font Exists there.
