I published my database online but there are tags (<> ) showing up in my fields, and one of my value lists is empty (its a hierarchical value list based on a relationsip). I would appreciate any advise, I'm new to HTML.

By "tags" you indicate just the presence of pointed brackets. If just one is appearing, it may be an editing error where a bracket has been duplicated by accident. Another editing error may arise from using only one quotation mark where you intended to use a pair.
