Consolidating Names

Featured Replies

I have a portal where I have two fields Brand and Total Spend.

I get the correct total spend but when it displays each record instead of just the brand name and total amount.

For example:

Brand $100

Brand $100

Brand $100

etc...

How do I get it to just list each brand once?

Thanks for any help.

You don't do that with a portal. You do that with a report using a subsummary part where the subsummary is by Brand. Try the layout wizard, it will build this for you.

Bruce:

Can you put a subsummary field in a tab or body like a portal?

I want the user to be able to see the results without having to be in preview mode. I want the results to be part of a layout like in a tab.

I also don't think you can pull info from a sub-summary field without exporting?

I am just asking questions. Thanks for your reply.
