Can't connect to WPE config

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am desperately trying to get FMSA 8.0v4 WEP config console to show up in my web browser. When I enter http://localhost/fmi/config I get the message that the page can't be opened. I also tried http://127.0.0.1/fmi/config

Here's my setup:

- Powerbook G3 Firewire

- Mac OS 10.4.7 (latest Java updates installed by automatic Mac software update)

- FileMaker Server 8.0v4 Advanced (8.0v4 was already installed from the CD, not manually updated)

- Web Publishing Engine 8.0v4 installed

- Apache 1.3 up and running

I entered the Web Publishing Engine in the 'Client' tab in FileMaker Server Admin. FileMaker Server runs fine, I am able to open files hosted on it in FileMaker client.

I already restarted FileMaker Server and Web Publishing Engine several times to no avail.

Can anyone help me? Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Is the WPE actually running?

From the Terminal:

sudo SystemStarter start "FileMaker Web Publishing"

Yes, WPE is running. - I think I figured out what happened. For some reason Apache wasn't responding after system reboot. When I restarted Apache I was able to connect to WPE.

Has anyone else experienced that? Apache was just fine before I installed WPE. Maybe this issue is connected to what WPE adds to the httpd.conf file?

Thanks.

Maybe, but I doubt it.

I should have included the Apache commands as well:

sudo apachectl start

sudo apachectl stop
