Auto entry Container field

Featured Replies

Hi all,1st of all thanks for all help...here is my problem: I have 2 fields A & B

A is contained Employees ID number (xxxx)

B is container field for photo.

In my employee's database all employee photo store under EmployeeID number locate in folder " D:Emp_Photoxxxx.jpg "

Is there a way that i can auto data entry into field B a complete each path, file name for each record such as (D:emp_photoxxxx.jpg), so that when I click on field B it automatically load the photo.

Many thanks...

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that your reference to"XXXX" can be anything from anywhere or within a specific folder/field?

Are you trying to create a file name?

Please give more detail.

It looks like he is asking if

Field A is a number field for Employees ID number like: 1234

Field B is supposed to be a container field for photo.

The photos are always going to be located in the folder

D:emp_photo

and the pictures are always going to be labeed based off the employee ID.

D:emp_photo1234.jpg

How would you get the container field "B" to automatically store the picture based off the default directory and employee ID...
