Importing from a standalone?

Featured Replies

I'm having troubles importing from a standalone database into an updated database running under 8.5 advanced.

I need to be able to pass out a new version that can update itself from an older standalone version of itself. But even doing an "import records" manually, I'm getting no records and no errors.

Select "import from file", choose the old standalone, select the correct table.. Everything lines up but It looks like there is no data to import. Odd, there -is- data there.. No records are imported either. No errors reported.

Any hints at all?

Thanks!

Is it possible the source table has a found set of zero records?

Well it couldpossibly. This makes a difference?

Imprt and export isn't my forte.. Yet.

If you are exporting data from old to new solution, first check the found set in old solution becouse the data which is exported is based on current found set.

Oh boy!

It helps if you point it at the correct copy of the file. Like one that actually has data in it.

Sorry & thanks!

Believe me! I've done this before :D
