Creating glossary of terms

I would like to create a glossary of publishing terms without reinventing the wheel. Is there a sample file or another thread that someone can point me to that will allow me to basically display a layout of the alphabet and once I press the letter button another layout is displayed in list form with all the terms/words (records) starting with that letter.

It doesn't have to be exactly like I described but similar.
