Friends, hello I am the paulo here of Brazil, I won a MAC Performa Pro, and with him installed it is the program FILEMAKER 4.0 for MAC, I have some files that I created in him, I have a PC and I installed FILEMAKER PRO 6 for PC with windows 98 and when I tried to open a files of the filemaker of the mac appears the following message:

This may be a case of mistaken Identify.

FileMaker 4 was released by Nashoba Systems in Jun 1988

FileMaker Pro 4 was released by Claris, Apple, FileMaker???, in Sep 1997.

If it is the first one, you will need to open it with an intermediate like FileMaker Pro 2.x if I recall. This has been covered in the past, but it has been sometime now. A search for Nashoba might bring up additional information on the correct application. If you want to upload the file, several of us have the older applications available, and convert it for you.

After thinking about this for a few minutes, it dawned on me that you mean that the PPC was Won, as in High Bidder on Ebay maybe? Do you have ownership to the software or files that you are asking about?

Thank you very much for the explanation, I understood the solution very well.

I am downloading the software filemaker PRO 2.1 for MAC, of FTP of APPLE. I will install and to test the files in MAC and later I will try to open in PC and to see what happens.
