printing the wrong things!

Featured Replies

Hey friends- We had a printing script that looked like this:

[color:purple]Go to Layout [ Deposit Detail ] Print Set Error Capture [ On ]

It always worked fine. Yesterday, I wrote a log, new script. Now, anytime I print from the script or the print dialogue, it just prints the script.

Please help!

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot.

Sounds like you accidentally updated the restore options on your Print Setup script step. In FileMaker 6, print exactly how you want. Yes, you actually have to print a document. You can cancel it through the system software so it never comes out of your printer but FileMaker has to think it printed. Then, open your script in ScriptMaker. You don't have to edit the script, just open it like you are going to edit it. When you click OK to exit, FileMaker will ask you if you want to Keep or Replace. You want to replace the restored settings for printing and nothing else. This will place the last print and print setup dialong settings in the script.

BTW, in the future, always respond to the stored settings or keep/replace dialog by keeping the choice on KEEP unless you want FileMaker to grab the last print settings which may be printing a script.
