I find this somewhat humorous.

Just before 8.5 came out, I recieved a call from our VLA rep telling us that if we were still interested in upgrading to 8 we should purchase the Workgroup Bundle now, because once 8.5 came out. FileMaker was never going to offer the workgroup bundle again.

I can't account for what that rep may have said or not said. They offer these promotions---and others as well--from time to time. There is never a guarantee that they will offer a promo or that it will be renewed past its initially described expiration date.
