Scott Pon Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 (edited) I just upgraded from Filemaker v5 to v8.5. on some of my layouts they are not printing. So I went into Layout setup, tab Printing, and i'm getting this error: "The selected value must be in the range 0.000 to -420.000, inclusively." after clicking "ok" the cursor is on a box, so I try to change it. the error pops up. I try to change it into the range, error pops up. I try to move to another box, and the error continually pops up, even when I click OK. Attached is a picture of the error. I have a feeling it has to do with the upgrade. Anyone got a fix for it? There is a complex fix. I can NOT duplicate the layout, the problem goes with it. I have to make a new layout, copy the fields from the old layout to the new layout, then delete the old layout. Of course the problem is that all my scripts are referencing a deleted layout and cause errors. I hope to avoid that. Thanks in advance Updated: the Fixed margins are top=5.50, Bottom=5.50, Left=214.00 and right=214.00. I believe these are making the pages blank. I tried to set them but I got the same error, except with "range 0.000 to 0.000" ARG Edited October 17, 2006 by Guest
Scott Pon Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 Ok. I think I got it fixed. I had to do a Recovery of the file and the error has gone away. Drawback is that all the Margin settings are screwed up so I have to reset them. But at least when I change them this time, it does NOT have issues.
Scott Pon Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 Just to follow up again I also found out that the "Print setup[Restore]" was also changing the page margins back to those weird and invalid settings. I removed the print setup[restore] and Print[restore] from my script. Then added it back into the script and save. It works! One of those conversion things from 5 to 8...
