Can Find Matching Records be customized like other menu items?

I have customized my Find functions to filter out certain records. I need to do the same for Find Matching Records.

I get the sneaky suspicion this cannot be done....

I have the exact same problem! I have my find function to only include records the user has created. The 'Find Matching' context menu ignores this function.

HELP! please tell me this can be modified or removed all together (with still leaving the scripted Find menu function)
