ChuckL Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I have found a set of records that fall between 2 dates. Now I want to do a report on all those records "except" for the ones where fieldx = "abc". Records with fieldx equal to "xyz" or "pdq" are OK, I just need to eliminate the records where fieldx ="abc" from the find set. Is there a way to FIND for fieldx "not equal to" "abc"?

ChuckL Posted October 23, 2006 Author Posted October 23, 2006 Thank you very much. I guess it's all in knowing what phrase(s) to search for... none of the ones I had tried referred me to this help screen. It still took me a while to find that "omit" button on screen. Working great now. Thanks again.
Lee Smith Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 You are welcome. The word I used to find that information was [color:red]Omit. As you found out, it's an option in Find Mode (it is also a Script Step). There are other operators that you will need to investigate before long. Check out the list of Symbols also located in find mode. Its the Drop Down List under Symbols. Lee
