Newbies Kerry Hamilton Posted January 12, 2001 Newbies Posted January 12, 2001 I have created a database that includes photos, which works superbly "locally", and is easily reviewed on-line, but I want to allow remote users to upload photos to the database. I am at a loss as to how... HELP anyone? ------------------
Vaughan Posted January 15, 2001 Posted January 15, 2001 The uploading of graphics into container fields cannot be done through web companion. IOt can be done over the internet through a FileMaker Pro client though. Web Companion cannot handle file uplaods either. Web Companion ios not a full-featured web server, it is an interface to FileMaker Pro databases. The best you can do is set up a "proper" web server and use it to handle file uploads, then store the image paths/url in a text field within the FileMaker Pro database.
