cknight Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Hi all, ******* you people are great!! I now think i have a handle on this Conditional value list thing. Its a big moment for me. I have attached the example i made and it works BUT..... I was wondering if there was a way to incorporate "all" as a selection in any point in the hierarchy and it is restrictive down only until all is selected. OR better yet just have the value list blank to do the same thing. For example I have Measurement standard Country Manufacturer Size Type Model If i wanted to select the standard and country and the manufacturer but i wanted to see all the sizes types and models. could be useful in find mode or printing reports. Iam thinking.. Adding all or a calculation that says when blank show all would be pretty cool. I saw John Mark Osborne do it in his video with a value list that he filled in at the top of a hierarchy and he did a calculation of something like this case(globalfield="all";valuelistitem(get(filename)"name of valuelist"); default) I figure some modification of this can work but i am thinking its gonna take a TON of TABLE OCCURANCES. am i thinking down the wrong path test2.fp7.zip
