The windows Update KB924270 I believe is the culprit that was blocking my windows 2000 machines from connecting to our FMP Server.

The only thing that had changed overnight was the windows updates and I went through and uninstalled them 1 by 1 until I was able to reconnect to the server.

Just thought I would share this information.

Server 8v4 2003 standard External Authentication through AD

Clients: 8.5v1 Win 2000

Symptoms: Windows 2000 machines could see the server in the open remote dialog but were prompted to enter a password to connect, their accounts would then become lockedout.
