drc Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I spend the majority of my time using MacOSX, but very occasionally I'm asked to help out on a Windows project. I can usually borrow a windows machine but I was wondering if anyone had any experience of using bootcamp or parallels to run windows on a mac and then using FileMaker?
IdealData Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I recently got iMac (20) with 2.16Ghz Core 2 Duo. Absolutely no problem installing Parallels and Windows and boot time is around 15 secs. It runs faster than a P4 3Ghz! There is a small problem with keyboard mapping concerning 2, @, €, ~, |. , ` Other than this it's brilliant - I even managed to sync up an old Palm (actually a Handspring). Maybe someone could comment on installs on a Mac Mini (with 1.5 solo).
