November 25, 200619 yr I am sure some of you have done this because it seems to be simple, i just don't know how to do it. I have a Contacts Managing template (for customers and their info) and a Purchase Orders Template. I would like to fill in the customer's info on the contacts management template and then somehow be able to select or click a button here and appear there type stuff to get the customer's info on the Purchase Order template. For example... On the Contacts Management template i have John Doe's address, company name and tel #s and I when I make a purchase order for him i would like that info to somehow get there. lol I am VERY confused with all of this stuff. Can anyone help? thank you all for your time!
November 25, 200619 yr Take this file apart and you'll see how to set up relationships so you can accomplish this. If you have any questions let us know. HTH Al TEST.zip
November 28, 200619 yr Author Yes! That's it...and if I could create a NEW order and click on the ones on file to see what they are (which I THINK i can handle...haha) BUT...when I create the new file how would it make a new record under a different file (purchase orders file) is that possible?
November 29, 200619 yr Take a look at the "Quotes" layout in this file. You'll see a button for "Create New Job," Look at the script and see if this sends you in the right direction. Al Sales_Rep.zip
December 1, 200619 yr Author How do I see the script?? I have clicked everywhere i think i should but i end up seeing a a blank script window as if I was to enter a new one. It looks like it's what i want tho!
December 2, 200619 yr Author I can open the file and it looks right but i cant close it afterwards. I end up force quitting the program. Im sure it has something to do with the script :B
