This more or less a feature related question for FM:

Is there a way to ensure that a record cannot be changed once the data has been added to its various fields by script or other means?

You can define a Privilege Set then set record access to allow editing only if certain fields are blank.

Thanks -- I am now getting around to exploring this approach; is there anything that I should pay attention to as I explore this or do you know of any examples?
