Importing formatted text

Featured Replies

Hi, I want to import some text from either Word or Excel and maintain basic formatting in the target FM text field. How can I do this? I'd love to get bold, underline, and indents or tabs. Anything additional wwould be icing on the cake.

TIA,

Bob

I don't think it can be done. FM is not a word processor. You can certainly get the original text from Word/Excel in RTF format and import that instead of the regular plain text, which would give you all the RTF tags. But unless I'm badly mistaken FM has now way of rendering those RTF tags into its own formatting.

I believe that on the Mac you can paste RTF and it will hold in FM but not on Windows. Just one more area where FM Windows and FM Mac are not equal.
