To get started, take a look at these Topic areas.

Resource, FM Forums Affiliate Sponsors, and FileMaker Developers & User Groups. These areas have recommendations for books, videos, classes, Tip and Trick Files, etc.

You should also read the User Guide that came with FileMaker (take about 10 minutes), and pull apart the the Templates that came with your application. Keep in mind that there are other ways to accomplish what these files show, but you can make up your own mind about that later.
