I use FM Adv 8.0 to modify my app. The clients all have custom menus without access to any layout functions. Anyone know of a way to edit the "tool" menu which is only in Dev/Advanced so I can put some of the functions I need in it?

Is this what you want to modify?

Why would you need any of that modified?

I want to add browse/layout functions for me but not allow the users to get to it.

I think the user permissions would disable most of it for the file.

You can not remove it though.

I'd suggest using the standard version of FileMaker Pro on the workstations, then the Tools menu won't be available.
