myFMbutler releases PrinterSwitch 1.6 - announces special MacWorld pricing

Manage printers & PDF's from within your FileMaker® Pro solutions

AALTER, Belgium -- January 9, 2007 -- myFMbutler today announces the release and immediate availability of PrinterSwitch 1.6, an update to the plug-in for Windows and Macintosh that allows you to easily control printer switching from within your FileMaker solutions.

At the same time, myFMbutler also announces special MacWorld pricing: from January 9 to 14, all products will be offered at a 25% discount.

About PrinterSwitch

myFMbutler's PrinterSwitch is a plug-in for FileMaker Pro 7, 8 & 8.5 for both Windows and Macintosh that allows you to easily control printer switching from within your FileMaker solutions.

Moreover, PrinterSwitch also allows automatic PDF creation from within FileMaker without the need for a 3rd party PDF printer driver. The name and destination of the PDF can both be set from within your solution. Unlike the built-in PDF functionality of FileMaker 8, PrinterSwitch PDF's can also be created in runtime solutions.

What's new in version 1.6

• Streamlined function names: 'PrSw_PrinterNames' is now 'PrSw_GetPrinterNames', 'PrSw_CurrentPrinter' is now 'PrSw_GetCurrentPrinter'

• The registration code is no longer visible after registration, or after using the PrSw_Configure ( "register" ) function

• [Windows] Resolves an issue with manual printing from FileMaker when PrinterSwitch is active.

• [Windows] Fixes a possible application crash when printing from FileMaker Help

• [Windows] Installation of the PDF printer driver is now optional. The plug-in will now load correctly if the PDF printer is not installed. This also means you can now use PrinterSwitch with FMS Auto Update on Windows as well as on Mac.

• [Windows] Added new functions to use previously unavailable print options when printing without dialog.

Pricing and availability

PrinterSwitch 1.6 is available today. The normal price is EUR 59,- or USD 75,- for a single user license.

From January 9 to 14, all myFMbutler products will be offered at a 25% discount. Check the purchase page for pricing.

PrinterSwitch 1.6 is a free upgrade for registered users.

Multi-user and developer licenses are also available.
