Hello All,

I need help with FM 8v3 trying to figure out how to Lock Certain fields so only people with full access can modify them. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Knjie,

You need to explore the accounts & privileges part of filemaker. There should be information in documentation that came with FM as well as tech briefs on security on the FM website.

Basically, you create an privilege set and in 'Records' Access there there is an option for 'Customer Privileges'. There you should see field access options.

I accessed the account priviledges and changed the users access to the fields I wanted to lock to view only and it worked. Thanks again
