Ben Ball Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 I have a calculation field that returns text. This text being simply "Yes" or "No". I wish to find all the records with "Yes".... but when pressing a button that enters find mode and enterering Yes into that field. The find will not perform... this happens for all my calulation fields.... How can I overcome this?
Søren Dyhr Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Hi Ben Should work, unless the result is given back from the calc' as number and not as text? --sd
Ben Ball Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 Hi SØren, Thats what I figured... but I do have the calc returning as text. It is a calc not returning a value in the context of the main table though.. i.e "Stock" table is the main table I am using the calc that is in the context of a seperate table. Stock 2 (obviously a copy of stock table). I am not sure if this should prevent me searching??
Søren Dyhr Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 I'm afraid your last explanation doesn't make much sense to me! I have time tomorrow if you wish me to look at your things live, like we've done previously?? --sd
Ben Ball Posted January 31, 2007 Author Posted January 31, 2007 SØren, Thanks for the offer.. I will have to re-itterate.. I no longer have the access to the netgear program...
Søren Dyhr Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Alright you colophon says fmp 6 is this true? As it is, would I have quite a bit of harddisk refurbishment to get enough space to re-install the classic envionment again, which I hardly ever have use for! Perhaps you could install VNC server (even Tight VNC comes free as I recall it??) at your end of the matter then, and mail me the ip-number, you're sitting at. It works Netgear'ish!!! --sd
