klingsc1 Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 I have a database with many relationships - however I have one layout that is based upon "events". The portal I need to dispay is not displayed accurately unless I change the entire layout (in layout setup) to "events4" (another relationship) which than messes up the other fields. Any ideas?
mr_vodka Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 It will depend on which Table Occurence your current layout is reflecting and then the portal relationship based off that TO to the child TO that the portal is trying to display.
klingsc1 Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 What if my relationship is based off of a different TO? Is there any way to display this without changing the TO in the layouts menu?
mr_vodka Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 I would suggest you take a look at this PDF; focusing on the table occurences section. it will help you get a better grasp of the TO concept as well as methods to manage them. Søren Dyhr Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Not that John's suggestions are wrong at all but Harris is in my humble opinion one of the best if not the best to expalin the TO and TOG business: http://www.digfm.org/ref/FM7_key_concepts.pdf --sd
