A clients' databases have full access in FMP, but when they are hosted on Server 8 Adv the same user does not have access to ScriptMaker, Accts & Privileges, and other admin tasks. This is the first large set of db's I have hosted with any FM8 app/svr.

I have deleted the user created by the upgrade process from FM6, and created a new user from scratch. Everything in the Svr Admin looks correct. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Verify that the file is writable. The file's privileges should have the group 'fmsadmin' with 'Read & Write' permission.

This issue is covered in the Server Admin documentation. The OS level privileges of the file need to be set to read/writefor the fmsadmin Group.
