Can FM Pro 8.5 record contain both .wav file object & data fields?

For a linguistic study, we will making voice recordings (must be uncompressed .wav files) and would like to use FM Pro 8.5 (for OS X), to store the files and related data.

My question: In FM Pro, can we store a .wav file in one field and related text documentation in other fields of the same record?

(In other words, the .wav file and it's assorted text documentation would live in different fields of the same data record.)

Yes it can. Just put them in two different fields.

I have figured out there seems to be two ways to insert a .wav file into a field. (OS X Tiger / Filemaker 8.5 Pro Advanced)

I can insert a Quicktime container field and direct it to a .wav file and can then click on the field and play the file via the little quicktime controls but unfortunately I don't see the file name displayed via this method.

Alternatively, I can insert a normal container field and link it to a .wav file whereby I see the file name when looking through the records/fields but I can't seem to find a way to play the sound files via this method.

I would like to be able to both see the .wav file name AND play it when I choose.

Can anyone tell me if and how I can do this?
