Buffer Overrun error message

Featured Replies

I have set up a web viewer page that does a Google search on my contact name. I then look for pertinent info on my contact. Some times I have to go several pages deep. After I go 2 or 3 pages deep if I click on a link to another website I get the "Buffer Overrun" error message and FM crashes. I am concerned that this will eventually corrupt the entire database. Is this a bug in 8.5? Is there some way to increase the buffer size.

Please help!

Al

I had the same problem.

Updating the MenuControl plug-in to the latest version solved it.

Thanks for the response Henk. Where do I get the update to this plug in ?

If you use this plug-in then you should know that's on www.dacons.net

The fact that you don't know that makes me wonder... do you use this plug-in? If not, then maybe another plug-in is the culprit.

Anyhow... MenuControl was the cause in my case.

After responding I did some searching and found that it was Dacons. I have the plug-in, but, honestly, have never used it so I forgot I had it. I wonder if I just uncheck the box in Preferences if that will solve the problem. I'll try it and let you know. Thanks for the follow up.
