Newbies wh8342 Posted February 9, 2007 Newbies Posted February 9, 2007 As shown on my attachment, I use the 'Sub Summary'(probably incorrectly) to contain the field 'Room' so that each renovation task for a particular room, is listed in that room...to be followed by the next room and its tasks. Question - how can I adjust the task's numbering system to reset to '1' each time a new 'Room'and its tasks are printed. Walter
mr_vodka Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I believe you should be able to do this thru the option settings under the part definitions. There is a checkbox to restart page number after each occurence of a part.
Newbies wh8342 Posted February 13, 2007 Author Newbies Posted February 13, 2007 ...thanks for the reply. However, it isn't the page numbering I want reset but the item / task number to be reset i.e. Sub-heading blah blah 1. do this and that 2. and then that and this 3. etc. Sub-heading blah blah 1 1. do this and that 2. etc. etc. Walter
mr_vodka Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Why dont you set the task number for each task? numbering.zip
Newbies wh8342 Posted February 14, 2007 Author Newbies Posted February 14, 2007 Hi John, ...thanks for the response. The title of your attachment sounds appropriate but since it is V 7 and I have V6, I can't use it (it's my understanding that V7 files cannot be converted down to V6). Any chance of an outline of your thoughts? Walter
